Nominator F1 is a very early Nates type for harvest mid June to mid July from January and February sowings. (96 days), where conditions are favourable. Nominator produces attractive, cylindrical roots which have relatively short tops and a good resistance to bolting. Can be sown up until mid March.
Carrots like an open, dry site and light, fertile soil with a pH of 6.5-7.5. dig in some manure or compost and ensure the ground is free of stones and not compacted – otherwise the roots tend to fork. For this reason raised beds are ideal.
Sow 1-2cm (1/2-3/4″) deep.
Sow 2.5cm (1″) apart thinning to 10cm (4″) apart.
Rows 30cm (12″) apart.
