Lomond is a uniform, purple skinned variety with yellow flesh. Lomond was bred in Scotland and is winter hardy and high yielding. It shows resistance to clubroot and excellent resistance to powdery mildew. For Autumn-Winter harvest.
Swedes are not really fussy but like to grow in soil that has had compost or manure dug in before sowing. Add lime to raise the pH to around 7 if needed.
Sow 2cm (¾”) deep.
Thin to 23cm (9″) apart.
Distance between rows 38cm (15″).
