High quality, stump rooted variety with good yields of flavoursome roots of consistent colour. Particularly useful for late sowings maturing in approximately 110 days.
Carrots like an open, dry site and light, fertile soil with a pH of 6.5-7.5. dig in some manure or compost and ensure the ground is free of stones and not compacted – otherwise the roots tend to fork. For this reason raised beds are ideal.
Sow 1-2cm (1/2-3/4″) deep.
Sow 2.5cm (1″) apart thinning to 10cm (4″) apart.
Rows 30cm (12″) apart.
