Tolerant to low temperatures. Round to oval shape, slightly ribbed fruit. Greyish green peel colour, turning orange when maturing. Very tasty, fragrant and sweet. High tolerance to pumpkin downy mildew.
Sow 8cm (3″) deep into 8cm (3″) pot.
Requires a temperature of over 21˚C for germination which will take 6-10 days.
When large enough to handle transfer to a 13cm (5″) pot and grow on at 15-18˚C. Ideal for a glasshouse or poly tunnel.
Requires a well drained rich soil which is constantly moist but not wet.
Reduce watering for 3 weeks prior to harvest. The fruit is ready for harvest when it is fragrant and makes a hollow sound when tapped.
