A shallow crowned maincrop with uniform roots. Outstanding quality and good disease resistance. Vigorous with an excellent sweet flavour.
Grow in an open site with light soil with a slight acid pH of 6.5. The ground should not be compacted as the roots can grow deep.
Sow 2cm (3/4″) deep.
Sow 2 or 3 seeds together then thin to 10-14cm (4-6″) apart for medium roots. For large roots increase space to 20cm (12″) apart.
Space rows at 30cm (12″) apart.
As parsnips dislike being transplanted sow direct.
