Produces long tapering smooth roots on deeper soils. A variety often grown for exhibition purposes. High Canker resistance. Excellent flavour with tender and sweet roots.
Grow in an open site with light soil with a slight acid pH of 6.5. The ground should not be compacted as the roots can grow deep.
Sow 2cm (3/4″) deep.
Sow 2 or 3 seeds together then thin to 10-14cm (4-6″) apart for medium roots. For large roots increase space to 20cm (12″) apart.
Space rows at 30cm (12″) apart.
Parsnips dislike being transplanted so sow direct.
