A mangetout snow pea, with a very compact plant habit. Can be container grown. White flowers produce a bumper crop of uniform sweetly flavoured 8 cm (3″) and 21mm (1″) wide stringless pods at the picking stage. Height 65-70cm (26-27″)
Peas do best in a rich soil that is neutral to slightly alkaline, with a pH of 6.5-7.
Sow 4-5cm (1½-2″) deep
Plant 5cm (2″) apart in single or double rows.
Space rows 60cm (24″) apart.
It is advisable to give some net protection against birds, once seedlings start to grow , then add some net support for plants to climb and hold the crop.
